Meet the FIMCC Team
Albert Agut, Artistic Director and Founder
Xilxes native Albert Agut has been playing clarinet since he was six years old. He founded the Festival Internacional de Música de Cambra de Castelló in 2014, hoping to create more opportunities to perform in Spain with other fellow musicians. Albert has played in numerous ensembles across Europe and North America, including the Vallés Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona, Thornton Symphony Orchestra, and the Castelló Camerata. Currently, Mr. Agut serves as the Artistic Director at FIMCC, and is finishing up a Graduate Certificate degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, in Clarinet Performance.





Barry Fowler, Promotions Director
Mr. Fowler entered the world of classical music with violin and viola in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, in the United States. He continues to play music, and just returned from living in Europe for 7 months- making him especially passionate for supporting cultural exchange. He has worked as an Artist Manager with multiple artists across Oregon, and currently works as an Event Coordinator with Entercom Communications. Mr. Fowler has extensive experience running social media and designing websites for businesses. He currently attends the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, studying music business and songwriting. Mr. Fowler is the head of Promotions for FIMCC.
Arcadie Triboi, Executive Director and
Lead Pianist
A Romanian national born in Moldova, Mr. Triboi began his musical studies at the age of 6. He studied at the Superior Conservatory of Castelló, and after graduating served as professor and assistant in multiple programs in Granada, and in Austria at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg. He has performed numerous concerts, both as a soloist and with orchestras, across Europe, North America, and the Middle East- performing in prestigious venues such as the Palace of the Arts in Valencia under Maestro Zubin Mehta. Mr. Triboi performs as the Lead Pianist in FIMCC, and serves as Executive Director.
Vicente Ortiz Gimeno, Resident Composer
Mr. Ortiz Gimeno studied clarinet at the professional conservatory of La Vall d’Uixó, and at the Superior of Castelló. He then moved onto the Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating Summa Cum Laude in audiovisual composition and conducting. He also studied conducting at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Ortiz Gimeno's compositions have been recognized in national and international competitions, and during the last 4 years he has been working in the world of cinema and television in more than 40 projects. He currently serves as the Resident Composer for FIMCC, creating original works for the festival each year and arranging music.
Venancio Rius, Lead Conductor
Born in Moncofa in a family with a great musical tradition, Maestro Rius studied at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia, and later at the University of Southern California. He has captivated audiences across the world, performing and teaching in Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, and Asia. Some of his most impressive past associations include the Superior Conservatory of Castilla- La Mancha, University of Southern California, and as director of the Royal Oman Symphony. Mr. Rius is currently a professor at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts of the Alfonso X El Sabio University, and the CARM High Performance Center of Madrid, and is the Lead Conductor at FIMCC.
